David Jaehne (Dave) was transplanted to Brevard County from Indiana in 1952 as a mere child. He is a graduate of Cocoa High School (when it was in Rockledge), and then of Florida State University. He worked as a systems engineer and a logistics manager for NASA from 1963 to 1993, when he retired to spend full time on motorcycles, RC model air- planes, and theater. In 1998 he met and married his wife, Linda. He has been active in Flyball since 2001.
Sandy came to live with us in November 1999, at the age of 5 months. She shares our home with Maggie, our other Aussie, who is one month younger; Ellie, our Beagle who is 2 years younger; and Daisy, our 10+ years old Border Collie. Sandy showed a great desire to chase and re- trieve(frisbee, ball, stick, etc.) from a young age. When we saw Flyball
on TV, and then learned that there was a local team, we just had to give her a try. She is doing very well, and would be happy to practice every day if Dave had the energy to keep up!
